1) Links to birthday club freebies: You fill out the online forms to join the club, then you get a coupon emailed to you for a free birthday ice cream.

2) Not as exciting as just free, but still a deal: Join the following clubs for "Get 1 Free w/ purchase of ___" coupons, these are not all birthday deals...some are coupons sent upon enrollment..

3) Other miscellaneous Buy1Get1:
There are ice cream shops that have "buy 1 get 1 free" offers on certain days of the week. Some of these places are independently-owned and you'll have to find them in your town. Some are national franchises, but I suggest calling your local store first to make sure they are participating in that offer...
Carvel: buy1get1 free classic sundaes on Wednesdays (no coupon); ALSO- there are often coupons available for buy1get1 sundaes, or $1 off sundae dashers..
Friendly's: there are sometimes coupons for buy1get1 free 3 scoop sundaes
Coldstone: occasionally there are coupons for buy 2 "like-its" for $5
