If you like to experiment with makeup, the semi-annual clearance (usually late fall, and late spring) is a good time to try products. Sale items are marked by little stickers.
In the past, I have found great discounted makeup during these sales (ex: Physicians Formula shimmer strips for under $4).
Rite Aid has a similar sale, with sale prices indicated by yellow stickers. I had a coupon print from a previous purchase for $1.75 off Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens, and there was a black one on sale for $1.98 (75% off).. so I got it for 40 cents (after tax).. for that price, I'll experiment with nail art!
